Fargo Park District Strategic Plan

Fargo Parks Sports Center

The Fargo Parks Sports Center will be a game changer for Fargo. The amenities offered within the 390,000 square foot facility will help attract workforce and businesses to the comminute, driving economic development. The best news is – nearly 40% of the project has been funded by private gifts and in-kind services. A win-win for the community.

The Center will open in phases beginning in the spring of 2024. Amenities will include one full-size indoor multi-use turf field, an elevated indoor walking and running track, eight hardwood courts, two sheets of ice, six pickleball courts, three large multi-use community rooms, an indoor playground, Fargo Park District staff offices, and more.

Island Park Pool Project

Island Park Pool has been an icon in the city of Fargo for several years and once renovation is complete and the pool reopens in the spring of 2025, it will provide new and lasting memories to young and old for several years to come. The new design will include a 50-meter competition pool with diving boards and diving platform, a lifestyle pool, a lazy river and a slide complex with 1 Fly Tyme slide and 1 tube slide.

Yunker Farm Dog Park Redesign

The Fargo Park District is redesigning the Yunker Farm Dog Park as part of the broader Yunker Farm master plan that was recently completed. As with most Park District projects, community involvement is vital to ensure that the Yunker Farm Dog Park meets the needs of the citizens of Fargo.

Fargo Park District Strategic Plan

The Fargo Park District embarked on a robust strategic planning process in early 2024 and will complete the process sometime this summer. The strategic plan will be critical for the Fargo Park District because it will provide a systematic approach to assessing current environments, identifying key priorities and community needs, and outlining actionable steps to ensure sustainable growth and development.
